- Scope and Content(i) Carbon copy of Will of Albert Edward Grimmer, of 3 Station Road, Ampthill in the County of Bedford, retired Engineer. Bequests: - to his daughters Honora and Lily Grimmer, should they still be residing at the above property, the option to purchase the property, upon notice to the Trustees within 3 months of his wife's death or his death should his wife pre-decease him for a price of £2,500. - to his daughter Ena Mary Underwood, the option to purchase numbers 3 and 5 Church Street, Ampthill, again upon notice to the Trustees within 3 months of his wife's death or his death should his wife pre-decease him, for a price to be determined by two independent valuers. - any monies from such sales to form part of the residuary estate. - to the Trustees to convert all other real and personal estate as and when appropriate to monies to form a Trust Fund to pay the income of his wife, Annie Grimmer, during her lifetime. - to his daughter Lily May Grimmer, should she remain unmarried at the time of death of both her parents, one fourth of the said Trust Fund, with the remaining three fourths to be divided in equal shares to Honora Grimmer, Eva Bowles and Marjorie Nightall. - to all his daughters, should Lily May Grimmer be married at the time of death of both her parents, the said Trust Fund to be divided in equal shares, and to any surviving children of the same should any of his daughters pre-decease him. Executors and Trustees: - Honora Patricia Annie Grimmer - Eva Jane Swaffield Bowles - Marjorie Bertha Nightall Witnesses: - Lewis W A Ewing - P M Whittington Clerks to Sharman & Trethewy Solicitors, Ampthill signed 24th October 1949 (ii) Copy of Codicil to the above dated 12th June 1951, varying the first bequest above, so that Honora or Lily Grimmer, should they still be residing there, shall have the option to purchase 3 Station Road, Ampthill for a price of £2,500 or a price to be determined by two independent valuers, whichever should be the lesser.
