Scope and Content
A receipt on headed invoice paper from J F Bravington of 298 Pentonville Road, Kings Cross, London for a diamond and ruby 18ct gold ring at a price of £2 7s. The invoice includes stamp duty paid by the presence of a purple 1d Queen Victoria stamp. Receipt in poor condition and stored in protective covering. Purchased in 1897/8 for the marriage between Annie Swaffield and Albert Edward Grimmer.
