    Parties: (i) Benjamin Goffin of Toddington, draper and outfitter; (ii) Edgar James Gates of Toddington, draper and outfitter Reciting: - Z1542/3/1; - agreed retirement of (i) from the partnership on payment to him of £420; - the £420 to be paid thus: £200 on execution of this deed; the remainder in three equal payments of £73/6/8 on the expiration of six, twelve and eighteen months with interest at 5%; - mortgage of 26 November 1896 from (1) Benjamin Goffin and Edgar James Gates to (2) Woolwich Equitable Building Society; - three subsequent further advances from the Woolwich Equitable Building Society of 24 June 1897, 21 September 1897 and 11 January 1898; - Z1542/3/2 Operative Part: - (i) released to (ii) all his share and interest in the business and its goodwill; - (i) appointed (ii) as his attorney in regards to the partnership; - (i) and (ii) mutually released each other from all covenants in Z1542/3/1 Habendum: - to (ii) absolutely Covenant: - by (i) not to carry on the business of draper or outfitter for the next ten years within a radius of twenty miles of Toddington Witnesses: - J Newton, clerk William George Carter Mitchell of Bedford, solicitor
