Scope and Content
He describes the vicarage of Milton Ernest. It is a vicarage endowed with the great tithes. The house, garden and land described. There are 11 acres in the three fields. The great tithes and arable land, orchard and churchyard are let for £120 per annum. The small tithes for £50, but will have to be reduced, as tenant couldn't collect them. Writer is 60 years old, and not very well. Mr Turnor had thought of one of his own sons in case of vacancy, but Milton might not be profitable enough. Mention of Mr Rolt having sold his alternate right to patronage
