Has made enquires as desired. Present incumbent is Backhouse, turned fifty but a good life. Living is let for £140, the full value. House not to be compared to that at Clifton. Clifton advowson has been sold to Mr Whitehurst of Hitchin for £1,650, and is reckoned much the same in value. Cole has heard that there is an alternative presentation between the Turnors and Rolts, and that, after the death of the present incumbent, the presentation is to remain with the Turnors
