- will of William Ball of 21 July 1870 appointed his son Thomas Charles Ball and William Mabbutt as executors; bequeathed a legacy of £150 to his wife Elizabeth; bequeathed his wife a weekly legacy of 10/- charged on his real estate; devised his two cottages and land at Milton Ernest purchased from his brother Thomas and the additional cottage he had since built; his messuage and four other cottages and orchard at Milton Ernest purchased from Bates to (ii) for ever subject to the weekly payment of 10/-
