Chatham: I was sorry to here grandmother and mother had been so ill. I was glad to here Harry was with John again and to here you enjoyed yourselves at Christmas. I was surprised to here Vin had gone out to India. I can't say much about the imprisonment, only I am thankful I am out alive, it was a dreadful place.
