    A "confirmed drunkard" of Sutton, who attempted suicide and what should be the magistrate Sir John Burgoyne's course of action. Sir John, unable to get his own way wishes he "could move Sutton to some other county" and hopes the case "will be a warning to some of the Upper Middle Class in Potton, and check some of the excessive drinking, debauchery and gambling that now goes on". Also prospectus for Buntingford Retreat for Inebriates to which James Kitchiner was sent, 1903. Later correspondence from the doctor at the Institution after James Kitchiner has been allowed out on probation when it appears he may have reverted to his old ways, 1905.
