    Settlement on the marriage of William Weller Pepys of Lincoln's Inn to Elizabeth Dowdeswell of St George, Hanover Square, the eldest daughter of Right Honourable William Dowdeswell, late of Pull Court, Worcester, by Bridget, daughter of Sir William Codrington deceased. Trustees: Thomas Dowdeswell, eldest son of William Dowdeswell, and Lucas Pepys of Wimpole Street, St Marylebone. Various legacies due to Elizabeth under the marriage settlement of her father and mother (5 November 1747) her father's Will (26 September 1774) the Will of Thomas Hammond of St George's, Hanover Square (25 September 1746) and as residuary legatee of her great-aunt Margaret Bourne. Recites mortgage of 10 April 1776 of the manors of Eaton, Whipsnade and Totternhoe, and of Bates, in Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire, by Thomas Potter, late of Eaton Bray, to the said William Weller Pepys; and assigned by deed of even date with these present to the above trustees as settlement on the said marriage. witnessed: Edmund Pepys, Charles Bithill
