  • Title
Summons, instructions for defence, notice and correspondence regarding a case to be held at Woburn Petty Sessions under the Employers and Workmen Act concerning Arthur Kent, and Henry Rogers, his apprentice. Roger had been apprenticed to Kent to learn coachbuilding, painting and the work of a tyresmith, but found himself, on occasions, doing blacksmith's and sawyer's work. He could not sleep in the house because of lodgers so had to move to the coach house, which was cold, so he slept in a cottage in the village, on the landing. Verdict in case not given. Parties lived in Wavendon, Buckinghamshire
