    Collection of documents relating to Edgar Robert Grimmer: - Indenture document dated March 1891 between Edgar Robert Grimmer of 63 Whitehorse Street, Stepney in the county of Middlesex, draper (i), and Edward William Jollye of Donnington in the county of Lincoln, surgeon (ii) and the Reverend Henry Clark Jollye of St Paul's College, Stony Stratford in the county of Buckingham, clerk in Holy Orders (iii), being a mortgage of life interest and policy of assurance on the life of (i) to (ii) and (iii) of the sum of £200 with interest thereon and then the sum of £100 with interest thereon. - Bankruptcy order from the High Court of Justice dated 26th October 1911, signed by Herbert J Hope, Registrar, relating to Edgar Robert Grimmer, now of 9 Upton Lane, late of 13 Woodgrange Road, both in Forest Gate in the county of Essex, mourning draper, suspending the discharge of the above, extending the bankruptcy date for 2 years with a new discharge date of 26th October 1913. - carbon copy of a typed letter from Albert Grimmer to his aunt Ada Grimmer, wife of Edgar Grimmer, dated 3rd July 1934. Asks for permission to deal with solicitors on their behalf. - handwritten letter from Ada Grimmer to Albert Grimmer, dated 7th August 1934, from Norton in Norwich, explaining why she does not wish to give permission. - typed letter from Albert Grimmer, dated 7th August 1934, on headed paper of The Flitt Motor Co. of Ampthill, to Cadge & Gilbert, asking for a statement of affairs relating to his uncle. [Possibly not sent as this is the original.] - carbon copy of a typed letter from Albert Grimmer to Ada Grimmer, regretting that she does not give permission for Albert to write and explaining that it is quite normal practice for businessmen to borrow money. - Statement of accounts relating to Edgar Grimmer's mortgagees drawn up by Cadge & Gilbert of Loddon as at 14th February 1939. - copy of letter from Albert Grimmer, dated 29th June 1941, to Mrs Collins, of Norton Subcourse near Loddon. Disccusses taking Aunt Ada for a trip back to Norton and also the business of The Flitt Motor Co. during World War Two.
