Scope and Content
Photocopies of several works (some by John Playford) printed for Henry Playford, music publisher, in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Some consist of a copy of only the title page. Includes:
- "Introduction to the Skill of Musick" by John Playford, printed 1718.
- "An Ode on the Death of Mr Henry Purcell" by Dryden/Blow, printed 1696.
- "Divine Hymns and Dialogues", printed 1693.
- "The Banquet of Musick", printed 1688.
- "A Work of Many Compositions for One, Two, Three and Four Voices" by Dr John Blow, printed 1700.
There is also a copy of a printed list of "Musick Books sold by Henry Playford, at his shop near the Temple Church".
