    iii) are trustees for securing repayment of £6000 owing from i) to Joseph Badeley. On 3 June 1828 £115..15s..6d 3% Consols were sold out by iii) and produce applied for outfit of Edward Hughes, son of i) on his entering the British Navy. On 7 April 1834 £33..19s..10d per annum Long Annuities were sold out and produce applied in the purchase for Henry Frederick Alston (younger son of i)) of an Ensigncy in the British Army and for the expenses of his outfit and equipment. On 1 March 1837 by deed poll i) appointed for son Henry Fredrick Alston £800 3% Consols said £800 used to purchase a Lieutenancy in the Navy for Henry Frederick Alston junior Now i) has requested ii) to lend him £1200. Now in consideration of said £1200 proceeds of marriage settlement monies put in trust to satisfy this and other mortgages, iii) being trustees Signatures of all Endorsed receipts Witnesses: George Biggs, Henry D Idlerton, Charles Adams 23 Mar 1837 Also endorsed with Assignment of securities and further charge i) John Hodgson, James Hodgson ii) Henry Frederick Alston iii) Arthur James Caldwell, Dorchester, Dorset, esquire Consideration - £1200 paid to i) by iii) being transfer of above mortgage - £300 to ii) paid by iii) Total - £1500 interest 5% Signatures of all Receipts Witnesses: Charles Adams, George Biggs, John Polder 20 Aug 1840 Also endorsed with Transfer of mortgage i) Arthur James Caldwell ii) William Collins, Exmouth, Devon, esquire by a deed of family of 26 August 1840 it was agreed that all monies unappointed and the mortgage of £10,000 should after the death of H F Alston be held in trust for the benefit of the 3 younger children of the marriage of H F Alston and Elizabeth Ball, i.e. Edward Hughes Alston, Sydney William Alston and Georgianna Elizabeth Alston. i) relinquished his claim on the yearly proceeds of the said Consols during the lifetime of H F Alston, other security being given now i) assigns to ii) - said mortgage debt of £1500 etc. Signatures of both Receipt Witness: George Biggs 2 May 1842
