    Reciting mortgage Z728/7 all interest has been paid to date Reciting also lease and release of 8 and 9 July 1765 a) George Viscount Torrington b) Lady Lucy Boyle, sister of Edmund, Earl of Corke and Orrery c) William Poyntz, St James, Westminster, John Pierce, St Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, esquire d) Edmund, Earl of Corke and Orrery, Sir George Pocock, K.B. e) William Henry, Duke of Portland, Henry Hoare, Stourhead, Wiltshire, esquire f) John Byng, George Byng a) in consideration of a marriage between a) and b) and of her marriage portion, conveyed his property in Clifton to c) for various uses. However not withstanding any trusts it should be lawful for Edmund, Earl of Corke and Orrery and f), with consent of a) to sell or convey any of the property, and apply £17,000 for certain purposes. Residue to be used to purchase freehold property v) has purchased of Edmund Earl of Corke, and f), with consent of ii) - Clifton property except 2 pieces sward land belonging to Shefford Mill for £7100 Reciting also lease and release of 25 and 26 February 1770 1) Viscount Torrington 2) Edmund, Earl of Corke and Orrery, said John Byng, George Byng, Wrotham Park, Middlesex, esquire 3) said Richard Astley Consideration - £7100 paid by 3) to 2) to be applied for purposes contained in marriage settlement 2) and i) convey to 3) - lands in Clifton Has been agreed that said £7100 should be paid to i) in part of principal sum of £8000, £900 residue, the interest and £5000, the portion of John Byng, should continue a charge on the rest of the premises now in consideration of £7100 paid to i) by iv), with consent of ii) i) at request of ii), iii) and iv), and nomination of v), transfer to vi) - so much of before mentioned property as is in Clifton (except 2 pieces of swerd held with Shefford Mill) to hold for remainder of terms of 1000 years and 500 years in trust for v) Copy signatures of i) - iv) and vi) Witnesses (copy signatures): Morris Robinson, Thomas Pitt Smith, John Windus, John S Harvey Receipt
