    Reciting: Conveyance i) Thomas Waters Burton, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, brewer ii) William Allden Keep, Biggleswade, tailor reciting will of Joseph [Joshua] Malden dated 7 December 1837 George Newbery, Biggleswade, gentleman, and John Ryland, draper appointed executors ... to wife Mary Malden for life -messuage in Shortmead Street, Biggleswade, in his own occupation, after her death, to daughter Elizabeth Burton ... to daughter Elizabeth Burton - messuage in Shortmead Street in her own occupation - newly erected cottage on E. side of ground 'appurtenant thereto' late in occupation of Abraham Draper after her death property to go to her son William Burton, on condition that he should pay testator's executors £700 Joshua Malden died on 21 May 1839. Will proved on 8 August 1839 Mary Malden died on 30 November 1860 William Burton died on June 1857 intestate, leaving i) his only son and heir Elizabeth Burton died on 11 August 1869 John Ryland died on 23 September 1859 i) had taken paid said £700 in February 1870 now in consideration of £950 paid by ii) to i) i) grants to ii) - 2 messuages in Southmead [Shortmead] Street, Biggleswade, once in occupation of Joseph [Joshua] Malden and Elizabeth Malden, then Edward Watts and then W A Keep - piece land belonging, partly behind adjoining premises belonging to Montfort Docwra (1 rood 36 perches) - cottage on E. side of said close, once in occupation of Abraham Draper E. public footpath leading through Chapel Fields N.(part) M Docwra N.(other part) William Larkins W. Shortmead Street S. Chapel Yard 29 Apr 1870 Mortgage a) William Allden Keep b) James Scrogie, Southill, gardener consideration - £700 paid to a) by b) and interest at 5% per annum a) conveyed to b) - 2 cottages in Shortmead Street, Biggleswade, formerly in occupation of Joshua Malden and E Burton, late of John Edwin Watts and E Burton, and then a) and Mrs Burton's representatives - piece of land lying partly behind said premises (1 rood 36 perches) - cottage on E. side of above, once in occupation of Abraham Draper and then of David Sole together with all buildings etc. except common rights which had recently been severed therefrom to be insured against fire etc. 21 May 1870 also Will of W A Keep (extract) ... to William Heath, Biggleswade, grocer, and Charles Titus Field of Biggleswade, bootmaker - all rest of his real and personal estate on trust to convert into money proceeds to be applied as mentioned in will 22 Nov 1879 W A Keep died 9 May 1880 Will proved (Northampton) by Charles Titus Field, one of the executors, William Heath the other executor having renounced the probate and executorship 18 Jun 1880 Renunciation of William Heath of the executorship 10 Jun 1880.
