Re Will of said William Wayte made 16 September 1684 to my loving wife £100 to Susan Dodford £100 at the day of marriage to cousin Jeremy ... who I put out to apprentice with a cabinet maker, £10 when out of his apprenticeship to Thomas Maunder and my maid £5 apiece to poor of St Clement Danes £5, and £5 in bread to poor of Oakham, Rutland where I was born, £5 to goddaughter Elizabeth Wayte daughter of my brother Robert Wayte £100 out of the money he owes me. I forgive my brother the rest of the money he owes me to Mrs Mary Smith 1 guinea for a ring to my son in law Thomas Isham and Judith his wife, to brother Roger Waite and Mrs Petley Garnham 10 shillings each for rings to my servant William Lane all my implements of trade (listed) and the refusal of my house and shop to my daughter Judith Isham my house in Long Acre which I purchased of Mr Lumsden a grocer residue to son Whitby Wayte who is executor. Allegation that said Whitby Wayte is trying to prevent Thomas Isham and Judith Isham obtaining their inheritance: request that witnesses to the will be examined; Thomas Isham and Judith Isham to prove will and to summon Whitby Wayte to appear before the Court - Answer of Whitby Wayte infant by his guardian William Reeves, 17 March 1685/6 - acknowledges the will was made, puts complainants to proof of its witnessing - plaintiffs answer - will prove their case - Questions to be asked re witnesses in the case, with answers
