At court held on 14 April 1837, John Campbell and John Henry Campbell, in consideration of £290 paid to them by Sir Peter Payne, surrendered …13 acres 1 rood 30 perches ground (including footpath over same) in South field in Blunham to use of Sir Peter Payne Sir Peter Payne was admitted tenant and has since died. By his will, he devised his property in trust for sale by deed of 6 July 1843 Sir Charles Gilles Payne did quitclaim Thelwell John Thomas Salusbury and George Hammond he might have out of said copyhold lands now Thelwell John Thomas Salusbury and George Hammond are now admitted tenants.
