    (i) George Henry Ward of Binfield House in Binfield [Berks], school assistant (ii) Elizabeth Ward of Bedford, widow, innkeeper Reciting: - By an indenture of 19 October 1859 between (1) John Ward of Bedford, innkeeper and (2) Thomas Barnard of Cople House, esquire, the properties below were mortgaged for £450 with interest - John Ward died on 10 May 1861 intestate leaving (i), his half-brother, heir at law - The interest on the mortgage has been paid and there is £450 still owing to Thomas Barnard Operative Part: (i) conveys to (ii) for £150 Property: (a) messuage on St Marys Street in Bedford formerly occupied by Thomas Kingston and then by William Kingston, John Warren and [blank] Hill, bounded on the north by the property of Thomas Gwyn Elger occupied by Charles Stafford and on the south and west by the property of William Last occupied by Charles Deane and on the east by St Marys Street Habendum: - (a) to be held by (ii) who is to pay the remaining sum owing on the mortgage Witness: - Joseph Thomlinson, clerk to Messrs. Turnley & Sharman solicitors
