Title
Opinion of Thomas Chitty, 1 Kings Bench Walk, that no one has a right to hold meetings on the Green without Mr Cooper's consent, and the public have only a right of passage, unless it could be established that from time immemorial there has been a custom for inhabitants to hold meetings there for some particular purpose. Mr Cooper should bring action of trespass against anyone who persists in holding meetings there, as Mr Willis. He could take forcible measures, but best not until right determined judicially.
