    i) John Sanders, Bedford, yeoman (son of Thomas Sanders, late of Kempston, yeoman deceased) ii) Mary White and Susanna White, both of Kempston, spinsters Thomas Sanders held copyhold property of the Manors of Kempston Daubeny and St John's and also Kempston Greys otherwise Hastingsbury which he surrendered into the hands of the Lord and Ladies of the Manors to secure a mortgage of £500 to Elizabeth Williamson, Bedford Said £500 was not paid on day specified so estate of said Elizabeth Williamson became absolute in law Said Elizabeth Williamson was admitted tenant to the property on 24 October 1804. She then surrendered all the premises to use of ii) and they were admitted tenants Enclosure Commissioners awarded to i) in lieu of his freehold lands and rights of common - piece of land in Hamfield (3 roods 24 perches) North West and North East: John Sanders South East: Bedford Road South West: Trustees of Cardington Cotton End Meeting in lieu of his copyhold lands held of Kempston Daubeny and St John's - 4 pieces ground --- in Hamfield (3 acres 2 roods) in lieu of 4 acres North East: Francis Green South East: Bedford Road South West and North West: i) --- in Hamfield (18 acres 2 roods 9 perches) in lieu of 34 acres ½ rood North West: allotment exchanged to i) North East: Francis Green South East: John Sanders South West: Charles Mardling West: Robert Denis --- in Hamfield (1 rood 22 perches) assigned to Robert Denis as Lord of Manor of Kempston Daubeny and St John's to enfranchise copyhold estates of i) held of same Manors --- 1 acre 1 rood 13 perches in Churchfield to enfranchise copyhold estates of i) held of same Manor Commissioners assigned to Thomas Gurney, Kempston, esquire, from estate of i) - old enclosure called Read Close at Wood End in Kempston (5 acres 1 rood 21 perches) lately held of Kempston Greys Manor in exchange Commissioners set out for i) from estate of Thomas Gurney - land in Ham Field (5 acres 25 perches) being 3 rood allotment of said Thomas Gurney for glebe North and North East: Francis Green South East: John Sanders West: Robert Denis Commissioners also declared the following to be enfranchised - 4 acres land in Hamfield and Button Field, in place called The Manor - Keyshoe Close (3 acres) - 34 acres ½ rood land in common fields and meadows Commissioners awarded to Robert Denis - 1 acre 32 perches land in Hamfield in lieu of satisfaction concerning above lands Commissioners also declared the following to be enfranchised - Pennyland in Kempston East End - cottage in Wood End - close pasture adjoining Commissioners awarded to Sir William Long - piece ground in Church field (1 acre 1 rood 13 perches) in lieu of customary payments to which said property was liable said £500 is now due and owing and is agreed that same shall be secured by mortgage on said cottage etc., now freehold now in consideration of said £500 i) demises to ii) - cottage and pightle pasture adjoining (1 acre 10 perches) in Kempston East End called Pennyland - Keyshoe Close (1 acre 1 rood 12 perches) at Up End in Kempston - 3 roods 24 perches in Ham Field - 3 acres 2 roods in Ham Field - 18 acres 2 roods 9 perches in Ham Field - 5 acres 25 perches in Ham Field last 4 pieces are all laid together in piece containing 28 acres 18 perches North and North East: Francis Green South East: Kempston to Bedford Road South West: Trustees of Cardington Cotton End Meeting, Charles Mardling West: Robert Denis term - 1,000 years interest - 5% per annum signature of i) endorsed witnesses: Theed Pearse, R H Gibbon his clerk
