- Scope and Content… to grandson Pearson Theed - 3 closes pasture in Kempston and all other real estate to hold for life, and then to William Willsher, Bedford, innholder, and William Maulden, Wilstead, yeoman, to preserve contingent remainders, and then to sons of said Pearson, and then his daughters. If Pearson has no children, then to third and subsequent sons of daughter Ann Theed and then her daughters. If Ann has no issue then to --- Jetheroll, son of late nephew Thomas Jetheroll, deceased, and his heirs, and then to daughters of niece Elizabeth Mackeris, Ashwell, Hertfordshire, as tenants in common, and then to 2 daughters of late niece Sarah Onley, Bedford. If grandson William Theed's 'eldest daughter of my said daughter' Ann Theed shall die without issue and Person Theed becomes possessed of lands settled in jointure upon Ann Theed, and Ann has children living, then devise of property to Person Theed and issue, to be void … to Ann Theed and her husband Mr William Theed - 1s apiece … to Person Theed - a silver tankard … to Reverend Mr Sanderson, Minister of Protestant Congregation in Bedford 'whereto I belong' - 1 guinea in gold to preach a sermon at the funeral, if he doesn't preach it, then to Minister who does … to Mr Olney, husband to late niece Sarah Onley - best suit of clothes … to Thomas Salisbury of Kempston - all the rest of 'my cloaths and my Shoes and my Boots' … to Mary Day, my housekeeper - 40s over and above wages due to her at my death … to said William Willsher and William Maulden - £10 apiece in case they shall undertake trusts.
