[see AL6], and invested proceeds in a mortgage for £600 on a messuage called Palmers in King's Hatfield (John Barrington). Witnesses: Joseph Webb, Richard Stepney, Robert Tims, Mary Hadnott (?) 3 December 1746. On dorse: Assignment of mortgage for £500 (further part of the purchase price): Thomas Baskerfield of Middlesex, oilman and Hillersden Frank of Heath. Witnesses: William Evins, Robert Marchamp (?). 27 February 1745/6.
