    funeral to be conducted in as quiet and inexpensive a manner as may be satisfactory to his children In exercise of powers given in marriage settlement with late wife: ... to daughter Annie Louisa Daw - 1/12th part of trust funds and property subject to trusts of marriage settlement 'so as with the one sixth share of such funds and property appointed ... in contemplation of her marriage, to make up her share.. to one equal fourth part of the entirety' ... to children Caroline Nora Foster, Helen Mary Foster and the Reverend Henry Read Foster 'as shall survive me' - remaining 3 equal 1/4th parts ... to executors - family portraits (16 in number) and portrait of John Milton in trust to permit son, The Reverend Frederic La Trobe Foster, to have the use of them during his life and then in trust to permit same to be enjoyed as heirlooms by heir male for the time being but restricted to a life interest only ... to such of children, Caroline N Foster, Helen Mary Foster and Henry Read Foster 'as shall survive me' - watches, jewels, trinkets, wearing apparel, all furniture, plate, books, manuscripts, china, wines, consumable stores, horses, carriages, stable furniture etc but requesting that same children will dispose of any articles mentioned in memorandum with the will or left among papers at his death, according to directions therein contained but not as to create any trust or legal obligation ... to every servant in service at his death - a suit of mourning ... to every servant who has been in his service more than two or less than five years - £3 ... to every servant who has been in his service more than five years and less than ten years - £5 ... to every servant who has been in his service more than ten years - £10 ... to use of sons, Frederic La Trobe Foster and Henry Read Foster - estate at Kempston for 500 years in trust and subject thereto to use of son Frederic La Trobe Foster to be mortgaged, or by sale of minerals and timber or by renting said premises, to raise such sums as are payable under the Settlement of 7 May 1890 made on marriage of son Frederic La Trobe Foster and Frances Mary Gladstone for payment of £5000 and interest ... also to use of said sons - all real and personal estate in trust for sale. Money arising to pay debts and funeral expenses (except said £5000 but inclusive of £500 payable to trustees of marriage settlement of daughter Annie Louisa Daw, or so much as remains unpaid). Residue to children Caroline, Helen and Henry 'as shall survive me' in equal shares as tenants in common except that Henry Read Foster shall take a double share Sons Frederic La Trobe Foster and Henry Read Foster apoointed executors will dated 24 February 1898 witnesses A H Thomas, Manager, London and County Banking Co.
