    i) John Frederick Foster, Sale Priory, Chester, Esquire, barrister at law ii) The Rev. Frederick Adolphus La Trobe Foster, Calbourne, Isle of Wight, clerk iii) Anne Hulbert Read, Chicklade, Wiltshire, spinster iv) The Reverend George William Newnham, Combe Down, near Bath, Clerk Thomas Barham Foster, Sale Priory, Esquire a marriage is shortly to take place between ii) and iii). Has been agreed that £2000 due to be paid to iii) from Richard Mortimore of Chippenham, Wiltshire, tanner, on a mortgage of 22 February 1847 and also sum of £600 being the balance due to iii) of a mortgage debt of £631 from John Salway, gentleman, and Charles Sargent, gentleman, to Ann Read, on other property in said county for remainder of a term of 1000 years created by Demise of 10 July 1816, should be assigned to iv) on trust. Said property has been assigned to them by 2 deeds of even date but executed before this one Now is agreed that iv) should hold 2 said sums in trust and invest proceeds and pay income to ii) for life. Then to iii) for life and then for their children at 21 or at marriage before that age (if a daughter). If no children then property to be held in trust for iii). Also i) covenants with iv) that he will pay said annuity during joint lives of himself and ii). To be paid to iii) on death of ii), if i) still living. To be paid to their children if ii) and iii) die before i). If i) transfers to iv) sufficient property on trust to pay said annuity, then above covenant for payment shall cease Power given to ii) and iii) to appoint new trustees signatures of all endorsed witnesses Edward Tottenham, Bath, Clerk John Cooke Faber, Rector of Chicklade, Wiltshire 1 May 1849 also endorsed with notice that the Settlement was produced in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Divison in the case Crokalt and others v Mc Kay and others 12 December 1883
