    i) Thomas Bowyer, Buckden, Huntingdonshire, corn factor Nevile Day, St Neots, Huntingdonshire, gentleman (devisees in trust of the will of Thomas Thorns, late of Eaton Socon, coach and waggon proprietor and farmer, deceased) ii) James Eland Hobson, Great Surrey Street, Blackfriars Road, and Courland, Surrey, esquire iii) John Hobson, Eaton Socon, miller reciting will of Thomas Thorns dated 1 August 1826; devised all his real estate to i) in trust for sale. Said Thomas Thorns died in May 1827. Will proved (Prerogative Court of Canterbury) on 16 June 1827 A suit was instituted in Chancery on 26 July 1832 and amended on 16 January 1833 wherein Robert Thorns (since deceased) and others were plaintiffs, and i) and others were defendants and by Bill of Revivor and supplement filed in December 1833 wherein Susan[na] Thorns and others were plaintiffs and i) were defendants said Court decreed on 6 November 1835 that the will of Thomas Thorns was well proved and that the trusts ought to be carried into execution in accordance with above decree the property was put up for sale at the Cross Keys in St Neots on 14 July 1837 and ii) was purchaser of 3 lots (nos.9, 10 and 11) at £1,710 in total now in obedience to said decree and in consideration of said purchase money and interest having been paid into the Bank of England to credit of said cause i) release to ii) - Inn at South end of village of Eaton Socon called the White Horse - close of pasture adjoining (3 acres) - orchard or close pasture (1 acre) now forming one close pasture with above - 3 roods 16 perches land adjoining above close all which were purchased by Robert Thorns, father of said Thomas Thorns, from Thomas Wiles and were once in occupation of Robert Thorns, then Thomas Thorns, then Charles James Fox and now of John Taylor - newly erected messuage in occupation of Reverend Moses Starratt adjoining said White Horse Inn, and was built by Thomas Thorns on a piece of ground where a messuage formerly stood purchased by him of William Law and James King, the devisees in trust under will of Clement Radford, deceased - messuage or cottage now occupied as 2 tenements and orchard, dovehouses etc. now in occupation of John Taylor, --- Robinson and another part Town Street all other parts estates formerly of Thomas Thorns and sold to John Jay Graves and then devised to ii) iii) to be trustee for ii) if necessary signatures of all endorsed witness: George Day, St Neots [Huntingdonshire]
