    i) Dean and Canons of King's Free Chapel of St George at Windsor Castle. ii) George William Villiers Villiers, Bath, Somerset, esquire. i) In consideration of the surrendering into their hands of a former lease granted to Villiers William Villiers, Bath, esquire deceased, for a term yet enduring. … Manor of Grovebury in Leighton Buzzard etc. … Closes belonging … House pasture or meadow ground called the Middle Ground (139 acres 2 roods 33 perches) late in occupation of Thomas Wigg, gentleman. … Hill ground and meadow (121 acres 3 roods 22 perches) late in occupation of Francis Winton, gentleman. … Ollifes and Windmill Hill and meadow belonging (157 acres 27 perches) late in occupation of Richard Doggett, gentleman. … Collett (pasture or meadow) (65 acres 10 perches) now or late in occupation of Edward Ashwell. … House pasture or meadow called Chapel Close and Mantel Meadow (29 acres 3 roods 26 perches) late in occupation of William Theed, gentleman. In as beneficial a manner as Manor of Grovebury was heretofore enjoyed by Thomas, Lord Leigh. Except - 2 pieces arable - 30 acres in Grovebury Field, late occupied (with the others) by Edward Ashwell, excepting also the trees and timber, which are reserved to i). Term - 21 years from Annunciation last past. Rent - £28..6s..8d (to be paid 2 times yearly) per annum. - £74..17s (being the amount of the land tax). - 72 gallons of best wheat, or equivalent in money. ii) Agrees to hold courts. Court rolls to be kept. Terrier of premises to be made and delivered to i) within next 3 years. ii) Will provide food, lodgings etc. for Dean, steward, servants and horses for 2 nights and a day every year on their coming to Grovebury seal of i) 1 March 1832.
