- Scope and ContentRecites that Edward Dodd has (today) paid off a mortgage made by William Robinson Lytton, esquire, to Susanna, wife of Francis Astry, D.D., for securing £1,150 and interest which mortgage was assigned by Susanna Astry to Sir Francis Windebank deceased, and Samuel How, esquire, in trust (£1,000 to be for the separate use and disposal of Susanna Astry and the remaining £150 to the use of Francis Astry): that Samuel How has today given a receipt for the sum of £1,000 Susanna Astry directs and appoints Samuel How to pay the sum of £1,000 to Francis Astry; and Francis Astry acknowledges receipt of the same and states that he will settle the reversion of the lands now in jointure to Susanna Astry and a farm called Froghall in Harlington for securing the said sum of £1,000 to be applied to such uses as Susanna Astry shall, notwithstanding her coverture, appoint Witnesses: George Draper and Purefoy Hunton
