£55 on 4 January 1702 at the dwelling house of ii) in the parish of St Paul, and £2,255 on 4 July 1702) after which payment the term shall cease and determine, remainder to and for the uses, intents, trusts and purposes etc. as are expressed, limited and declared in an Indenture Tripartite of even date (see X732/4) NB. A counterpart of X732/3/2 is to be found catalogued as X702/1 (part of Accession No.5982 (B.R.A.2245)). The indents of the two deeds matching up. It includes a memorandum, signed by ii) that the interest of the £2,200 'begins at the 22th of July 1701'; a memorandum acknowledging receipt of the principal, as X733/3/2 (except it does not specify constituent sums nor mention the mortgage of the rectory (ee)), as does the receipt on the dorse of X732/3/2, and is neither signed nor witnessed); and a memorandum, dated 12 December 1717, that there remains due on the mortgage £2,000, the remainder of the principal and all interest to this day being paid off and cleared. It is inscribed 'Sir James Astry's Recovery deed Mortgage from Sir James Astry and his son James to Charles Cutts…' Dorse: sealed and delivered by all the parties in the presence of F Brace (senior) and F Brace junior; memorandum by i) acknowledging receipt of ii) of £1,750 which with £450 lent unto him upon a mortgage of ee) makes in full the consideration of £2,200, witnessed by F Brace and Peter Evans, clerk to Mr Parratt; inscribed '6' (Lease) and '7' (Release).
