    Copy will of Sir John Payne of Tempsford Hall, baronet: - reciting lease and release by way of marriage settlement of 29-30 May 1788 (i) himself, (ii) Susanna Campbell and Elizabeth Maria Campbell, her daughter and (iii) Wollaston Pym, clerk and Charles Brett, esquire in which (i) was to marry Elizabeth Maria Campbell and in which recited an indenture of 1 April 1788 in which (i)’s father Sir Gillies Payne settled on him and his heirs an annuity or rent charge of £500 chargeable on plantations on Saint Kitts and Nevis except a plantation called Sandy Point which annuity (i) then released to (iii) to the use of (i) for his life, remainder to his widow, remainder to (i)’s sons by any marriage; - reciting death of Elizabeth Maria Campbell without issue; - reciting remarriage of the testator in June 1792 and issue of that marriage - two sons, Charles and Coventry and one daughter Augusta; - devising the annuity to his second son Coventry Payne and his heirs for ever or, if he died under the age of twenty one without legal issue, remainder to his brother Charles; - devising all manors and real estate t the use of Phillip Monoux of Sandy Place, esquire and Richard Palmer, clerk in trust; - bequeathing all personal estate to the trustees for realisation into cash to pay debts and legacies and to invest the residue; - trustees to act for his wife Dame Mary Payne for her life and then for his daughter Augusta, remainder for his son Charles, remainder for his son Coventry, remainder to the heirs of the testator; - power of the trustees to pay for the education of the children
