    Indenture witnessing that John le Wrigth of Stacheden chaplin and John son of Mathew le White of the same have granted to Ralph fitz Richard de Syvelesho ... an annual rent of 20s arising from all their lands and tenements held by lease from Thomas Bray, in Stacheden. Ralph fitz Richard agrees by these presents that if Joan and Alice, daughters and heirs of said Thomas Bray, will levy a fine in the King's court to Ralph or his heirs at the costs of Ralph within the next 16 years, on: ... one windmill and two acres of land with appurts in Syvelesho and Pollokeshull which Ralph holds by lease from Joan and Alice for a reasonable sum, then the writing concerning the 20s annual rent shall be held to be of no effect. If the fine is not levied, then the writing shall remain in force for every. In witness whereof each party has put their seal to the other indenture.
