Ann Turpin married Benjamin Fenson and had one son, now 12 years old. 3 December 1729: Will of Benjamin Fenson : To wife Anne for life, then son William and heirs. Brother George Fenson and brother in law John Clark - executors. 'About 7 years ago' Anne married William Goldsmith. Question 1 - Wether Benjamin had power to limit said estate by his will - Answer No. Question 2 - Wether William Goldsmith and Anne can sell or mortgage - Answer Yes - Fine not necessary. Question 3 - Executors refuse to hand over title deeds. A bill could be filed in Chancery 'But as this method must create great expense as well as delay it is certainly Advisable .... to end this matter (if it can possibly be obtained) by an amicable compromise.'
