Scope and Content
In ye name of God Amen
May ye 29 1710; I Adam Sturges of Hinwick in
ye Paish of Podington in Con Bedf Husbandman
being infirm in Body, but of perfect memory &
understanding God be praised; do make, constitute &
appoint this my last will & Testament in man-
ner & form following; viz; First I commend my
soul to almighty God, beseeching Him mercyfully to
receive it for ye merits of my only Lord & saviour
Jesus Christ; & my Body to ye Ground to be decent-
ly interred at ye discretion of my Executrix: And
as for my Land, Goods & Chattells; I leave them
all with my Loving wife Elizabeth Sturges, &
give them to her for ye bringing up of my Children;
& if any thing be left at her decease, it shall
be given among my Childrene, as she shall
think fit & convenient; Lastly, I make my
said wife Eliz Sturges sole Executrix of this my
Last will & Testament
