    i) James Nathaniel Cartwright, late of the City of Bristol and now of Lawrence Pountney Lane, London, gentleman ii) Hattil Foll, Beckford Hall, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, esquire iii) Elizabeth Foll, wife of said Hattill Foll (formerly Elizabeth Cartwright, spinster) iv) Mary Ann Cartwright, Beckford Hall, spinster reciting will of Nathaniel Cartwright, late of Dunstable, gentleman, dated 10 May 1842 by which 3/8th of residue of real and personal estate devised to son, i) and remaining 5/8ths equally between his 2 daughters, iii) and iv) said Nathaniel Cartwright died on 22 March 1843. Proved 11 May Prerogative Court of Canterbury i) has received full value of his share in the estate now ii), iii) and iv) discharge i) from any claims against the estate of Nathaniel Cartwright, deceased also i) grants to ii) 3/8 share in:- … messuage or farm in Totternhoe, and common rights … land near said farm and land in common fields (57 acres) (all known as Comb farm and in occupation of Hannah and Maria Pratt) … cottages built on land formerly belonging to said farm … land, cottages and brick kiln situate near said farm and now occupied by Mr Turvey … triangular piece of ground on North side leading from Well Head to Totternhoe, near Well Head … messuage or dwelling house in West Street, Dunstable, now occupied by Mr Sampson, formerly Mrs Cartwright … cottages at Studham, Hertfordshire … cottages in Butts Lane, Dunstable, late in occupation of Richard Impey and another, and now of Mr Sanders and another to be held by ii) to use of iii) and iv) signatures of all endorsed witnesses: Charles J Benning, solicitor, Dunstable William Srammer, farm bailiff to H Foll 29 Apr 1863 also endorsed with memorandum as to the conveyance of Comb or Court Farm, 'the villa' and rights of grazing on Totternhoe Regulated Pastures by Hattil Edward Foll to Jesse Bird and acknowledgement of right of production of deed 7 Feb 1917
