    Her youngest nephew has joined her eldest nephew at St. John’s College, [Cambridge]. Mr Carew has a cold; Bishop and Mrs James Yorke have arrived in London; Mr and Mrs Waddington have also arrived, however they are leaving soon to take the waters at Bath. Lord Hardwicke has gone to Wimpole, however will not be coming to London until the influenza outbreak has ended. Mentions the Duchess of Newcastle (Anna Maria Stanhope) will marry Colonel Cranford/ Charles Craufurd? , Lord Exeter will marry the Duchess of Hamilton (Elizabeth Anne Burrell), and Colonel Cunningham will marry Miss Elphinstone. Mentions Colonel Cunningham was wounded by a bullet whilst in Holland, and lost his lower jaw, and she comments, “It will be very noble to become his Nurse, yet to marry a walking Death’s Head would I doubt have been beyond my Philosophy”. Mentions her sister burnt her leg with boiling water, however she has not been badly hurt.
