    on pursuance of powers in marriage settlement and in will of her father to husband, Sir John Montagu Burgoyne … £10,000, 'part of capital sum over which I have power of appointment under my father's will and my marriage settlement' out of this sum any debts to be paid … remainder of capital sum, in trust to pay … to maid Louise Menetrey, 'whether she is still living with me at the time of my death or not' £30 per annum for life … to cook Rebecca Russell, if in service at testator's death £50 subject to above, remainder of capital sum to husband and subject thereto and to life interest of husband in remainder of funds subject to trusts of Settlement or father's will, trustees to pay income of £2,500 to cousin Emma Frances Brock Wood for her life for her separate use, and income from another £2,500 to friend Miss Adelaide St Quintin for life. After death of one, the income on £5,000 to survivor. After death of both said £5,000 to be held on trust for great nephew Edward Varien Walshe, when 21. In the meantime income to be used for his maintenance and education Income of £2,500 (further part of said trust funds) to cousin Sophia Turton for life and after her death said capital sum shall be held in trust for god-daughter Amy Turton, daughter of said cousin, and Montagu Turton, godson of husband, and son of said cousin, in equal shares. £200 part of said trust funds shall be paid by trustees to eldest son of niece Amy Purcell Gilpin who shall attain 21. In the meantime to be used for maintenance and education of said eldest son to niece and god-daughter Lilian Amy Bruce … £100 part of said trust funds to god-daughter Helen Archdale … £100 remainder of trust fund money to pay probate duty and testamentary expenses.
