    i) Sir Roger Burgoyne, Sutton, baronet ii) Right Honourable Earl of Halifax Right Honourable Lady Frances Mountagu, one of the daughters of said Earl iii) Honourable Sir Thomas Saunderson, K.B. Henry Archer, Inner Temple, London, esquire reciting mortgage to Sir John Evelyn and others to secure the repayment of £8,000 and 4% interest. Rest of lands of i) in Sutton and Potton are mortgaged to Samuel Luke, gentleman, for 1,000 years for securing £3,000 and same rate of interest. marriage is shortly to take place between i) and Lady Frances Mountagu and she is to have a jointure of £600 rent charge for life to be secured out of Manor, lands etc. of i) in Sutton now in consideration of said marriage and £5,000 marriage portion etc., i) bargains and sells to iii) … manor or lordship of Potton etc., … lands, messuages, mills, courts, fairs, markets, commons of pasture, profits, etc., belonging … all other messuages, manors, lands of i) in Potton upon special trust that by mortgage or sale, with consent of i), or, if he is dead, on their own discretion, to raise such sums of money as shall satisfy all monies as shall remain due on the mortgage, to use of i) signatures of i), the Earl of Halifax and iii) endorsed witnesses: Samuel Luke, William Fogg 31 Dec 1738 also endorsed with: enrolement in Chancery 3 Jan 1738/9
