Admin/biog history
The original founder of the firm, Thomas Forman, went to Nottingham from Bedford. He appears to have taken over William White's printing business at the bottom of the High Street, Bedford, in conjunction with Thomas Laurence, in 1846. He married at Harrington, near Spilsby, Lincolnshire, on 19 March 1846, Caroline Hewison, and their son, John Thomas, was born at Bedford on 30 May 1847 and christened at St Paul's on 23 June 1847. At the beginning of 1848 Thomas went to Nottingham and took over the Nottingham Weekly Guardian. The centenary was the start of the Nottingham Evening Post and the firm's removal to new premises
