- Scope and ContentRecites marriage settlement of 4th June 1875 between 1) Edward Manson, 2) testator, 3) James Henry Brook Christie and Frederick William Bund. Debts to be paid. Residuary estate to husband for life with power to dispose of capital. If husband dies first or does not dispose of the estate then gives as follows: One half part equally between my husband's nieces Louisa Sarah Manson and Edith Manson (whole of that part to the survivor if one should die before her or her husband, if both die then whole to husband's niece Amy Manson if she shall be then living. Other half part to two friends James Henry Brook Christie and Frederick William Brind upon trust to sell and convert into money such part thereof as shall not be invested in the Parliamentary stocks or public funds and to invest the proceeds in the Parliamentary Stocks or public funds to divide the income thereof into two equal parts and to pay one of such parts to my sister Caroline Trapp during her life for her sole and separate use and the other part thereof to her husband Thomas Simmons Trapp during his life. Subject to the said life interests as the same shall from time to tome fall in upon the deaths of the persons entitled to the income thereof to pay three fourth parts of the capital to Charles Gregory Emery (son of the late Charles Emery) and the remaining fourth part to his sister Mary Louisa Jane Turner. any shares of residue lapsing or failing to Charles Gregory Emery. Any legacies to females for their use only. Executors: Edward Manson, James Henry Brook Christie and Frederick William Bund. James Henry Brook Christie and Frederick William Bund to receive £50 each for their trouble.
