  • Scope and Content
Unable to give a correct statement of the sale at Swayfield, as William Cox has not yet been able to close his accounts; the total of the goods and chattels, exclusive of the hay and keeping will amount to about £400. Cox has paid £300 into the bank at Grantham, being money recieved for the grain and ready money at the sale. This will be remitted to Goforth's bank in London. Discusses the price obtained for the wheat and items that were not sold. Reference to death of Rev. Litchford, and who might succeed to Bassingthorpe.
