Thomas Beckett of Westwynche (county Norfolk), yeoman, and Simon Beckett (son and heir apparent of Thomas Beckett), to John Browne of Bedford, mason … a messuage with garden and backside adjoining in Well Street in parish of St Paul, Bedford, between the tenement of John Mighton, gentleman on West, and a tenement of the Church of St Paul's in Bedford on East, abutting North on Well Street, and South on the garden or orchard in tenure of Thomas Abbys; now in occupation of Jeffrey Symonde. (to hold to said John Browne for ever) Witnesses: William Godfrye alias Cooper, George Fessye, Morgan Floyd, Robert Ridge, Thomas Hawkyns and William Andrews [two seals] 8 Jan 1601/2
