    Whereas Moses St Eloy, clerke, Rector of the parish of Marston Moretaine in the County of Bedford hath Endeavoured to breake the Antient Rates Modus or way of Tything the inclosed lands and Grounds within the said parish of Marston Moretained and in order thereto hath lately procured Mr William Prior, one of the occupiers of the said Inclosed lands within the said parish, to be served with a subpoena out of his Majesties Court of Exchequer at Westminster Now these presents witnesse and it is hereby Covenated and agreed by and Between all the said parties subscribing to these presents and we do hereby severally covenant and agree each with the other that the said action brought against the said William Prior and all other action and actions to be commenced or brought by the said Moses St Eloy or any Tenant or Farmer of the said Rectory or Parsonage of Marston Moretaine against any of the Occupiers of the Inclosed Lands and Grounds within the said parish shall be defended at the Equall Share and expense of us, the said Owners of Inclosed Lands and ground, in Equal proportions. And we do hereby agree with each other to pay our said proportionable share of the Expences of such suite or suites accordingly.
