Letter to Thomas Tacy Wing from Frederic Tanqueray annotated: “Put with Conveyce deed” and reading: “I send you the Draft Conveyance of the Roebuck Inn at Eversholt for your perusal before submitting it to the Vendor’s Solicitor. I am told that the Vendors have claimed the freehold of the whole of the yard but according to the title the real position is as shown upon the plan with a right of passage over that part belonging to John Pepper which is not coloured. If the freehold were conveyed to the Trustees in the whole of the yard it is evident that a right of way would have to be reserved to John Pepper and I have thought it better to make the Draft Conveyance conform to the position of things shown by the Title Deeds”.
