- Scope and ContentReceived a letter from she & Fritz from 1778. Little folks response to their letters. Doesn't like the account of Tom. Duke of Rutland seems to be as stout as Gazola. Parejas yesterday, the 29th exhibition at which he's assisted. Prince & Princess at the annual Bull Feast, a treat of the Minister of State. Supped out of doors recently. Winding up at Aranjuez now, Madrid in less than a fortnight. Madame de Ramel has left. Ladies headdresses narrower but still high and crowded. Spanish women's disfigurement of their feet, heads and eyes. Amber gloves and excessive use of perfumes in the past. Decline of local glove manufacture. Gardening book from France, repeating what has been practised in England for 20 years. Mr. Parker's Murillos to be sent from Madrid. The freshness will not deceive Sir Joshua. Longs to hear of the latter’s picture of the King being finished. Pictures of late King of France though not good were noble Meubles [?]. Advises Fritz to spend summer at Stanmer & Saltram.
