Scope and Content
Satisfactory account of little boy. Tom Pelham staying until September, they may go with him to Madrid and thence to the Escurial, their least favourite residence. Commission for wine for Lord Exeter from Mrs. Aislabie. Mr. Aislabie better. Steel items, sent by Lord Pelham, given by Tom etc... Irish poplin suits, sent for 14 last year, now has commissions for a further 19. Is Mr. Ackland [?Thomas Acland/Ackland of Killerton Park, Devon] gone as a soldier with his Regiment, or as a Patriot. Mr. Lloyd is there [in Spain] whose father lives at Barrowby where Grantham's Uncle Fred lived formerly. Shallow water in river preventing bathing.
