Waddilove to take up quarters at Whitehall at Grantham's request and with Nanny's leave. Marriage of Countess of Fuentes and her daughter on the same day. Etiquette preceeding a Spanish wedding. Daughter 12 years old, received company at her Toilet this morning after the most fatiguing ceremony yesterday. Describes house, presents etc... Husband young, Masserano's nephew. Resembles Lord Carlisle. His mother is the late Madame Fuentes’ sister, she lives in the house. Comments on state of Spanish marriages and family. Cites as an example the circumstances of the young Benavente whose marriage took place when they first arrived in Spain. Mr. Doyly from the West Indies there on business. Has seen the Paynes and gives a good account of her.
