Sorry Lockhart no favourite with the Pelhams, his profession and wig are against him. Puts him in mind of Sir John Russell, send compliments by Miss Russell. Sir Marmaduke and Dr. Deathy's death. Mrs. Aislabie's mountain wine to be sent to Hull. Book and buttons commission; send a dozen sets of gilt brass buttons for coats & waistcoats. Hopes she has seen the Provost and is satisfied with his accounts of them. Glad their nephew is so "heroically inclined upon being weaned". The Infant is not yet weaned but has eaten a Spanish dinner; hard peas, dry chicken and fat bacon. Ossory paying for his expenses at Ampthill by selling his house in Town, Richard gets little as Groom of Bedchamber. His contempt for the late Lord Chesterfield.
