- Scope and ContentTherese's beautiful and faultless design for a piece of Bodmin Bowl Plate, in Fritz's letter. Will give opinion next post. Would like an account of the improvements at Stanmer. Attended the installation of the Knights of the Order of Charles III. Describes Robes and Ceremony. Masserano one of the Knights. Madame de Villa hermosa dined and said she'd seen Nanny in London. She was dressed very French. Their great dinner planned for the 26th. At least 40 people, 18 foreigners, 7 Ladies of the Bedchamber and 16 Courtiers etc...Troublesome business but must be undertaken. General outline of first course described. Second course and dishes etc...in next post. Hopefully no breakages or losses through stealing. Making do with carpets available there, wanted Moorfield’s manufacture but was too late. Gala coach finished, new gilt and varnish, very pleased. Box too high, but it will only be used one hour on one day a year.
