Lady Carlisle's behaviour in fobbing off her cast off ‘Avantuner’ upon Lady Julia. Lady Susan's partiality to Count Gazola. Latter a great Architect, Grantham flattered by his approbation of his house. Feelings about his house, Fritz the best lodged etc... Madame Viry has a card table every night, the Dutch Minister means to give suppers. Will not dine above eight until the house is opened. Their cook is excellent.
