- Scope and ContentShe writes regarding the dog: 'For several days he has not been well & it seemed impossible to satisfy his appetite, so we concluded he had worms. So last night we gave him a worm pill & dose of castor oil this morning, of course sickness & everything else went on for a little time & then I allowed him in the dining room. By the fire, I put a blouse of mine to air on a little chair & when I returned it was just nicely burned through. Beatty had knocked the chair & blouse into the hearth therefore my blouse is done for.'
