Enquired after Dal thinking he might have treated him with trip to London. Horses arrived in Town. Will inform Grantham that the King is satisfied with the execution of the commission. Mrs. Aislabie's Assembly, won two pooles at Commerce. High winds; Great Cedar at Hendon blown down. Lord Carlisle lost above nine hundred trees in five miles, Lord Falconbury suffered too. Little damage at Studley. Lady Robinson in great afflication on account of Mr. Hardinge who is very ill. Attended Court, dined at Lord Weymouth's. Ball; drawing room not full or fine, few finer than Lady Middleton. Pelhams not there, in mourning and Tom is still ill. Miss Mary sends love etc...Mrs. Townshend not well. Grantham pleased with letter from nephew.
